Mallard at Sunset

I saw this while putting my gear in the trunk after a photoshoot. Had to unpack for one more quick picture.

A Day at the Fair

Marcus’s crew of second graders recently had a field trip to the Spokane County Interstate Fair, and since wedding season is mostly over, I volunteered to be a chaperon. Which means I walked him and one of his classmates around as they filled out their Seek-And-Find sheet.

I especially liked the cow-themed garbage cans.

In some very smart planning, the school children visit BEFORE the rides are open.  That also made for some pretty cool pictures.

Fidrych!

Meet Fidrych!  He’s handsome, no?  He might be the cutest cat in all of Spokane.

(And no, there is no chance that he will eat and eat and eat and be enormous and end up really dim-witted besides, right?  Right?)

Just a little walk to the park

When I start feeling bored or cooped up or in a little funk, taking a little journey with my camera often helps.  It doesn’t have to be far.  Today, I just walked a few blocks from my house down to Grant Park.  A good day for watching clouds.

Leavenworth Sunset

I did a wedding in Leavenworth this past weekend, which was plenty fun (as you can see here, if you are so inclined).  At a wedding, of course, I’m focused on the bride and groom.  But I remember a photographer at a convention once say that even at weddings, if you see something that really speaks to you, you should snap the picture.  It keeps the passion alive.  It makes sense to me.  And so I took the picture of these clouds.

The Baseball Stadia

So our trip to New York (and Philadelphia) was centered around seeing three baseball games, each in a different stadia that we had never visited before.  Here are some panoramic images of the three ball parks:  Yankee Stadium in New York(sorry I missed home plate there.  Details.), Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, and CitiField in New York.  Click on each image for a bigger view.
