The Arch and Courthouse

The St. Louis Arch really is amazing.  It’s so elegant and proportional (its width at the base is exactly the same as its height), and it’s visible throughout the city.  As the weather changes, its surface changes, from glistening silver to somber blues or hazy amber.

The courthouse is famous for having been the location of the Dred Scott case.  It features beautiful, symmetrical Renaissance architecture, and interior staircases that I very much loved.
